Imported from Japan as the smart, chunky Mitsubishi Delica, the sensational D:5 Terrain is like no other campervan. Reimagined by the CampervanCo for off-road adventures in wild, rugged places, you can camp on beaches, cook in a forest, sleep by a loch and rumble up the muddy tracks of spectacular glens. This campervan was made for Scotland’s stunning and challenging scenery.
The D:5 has real off-road ability thanks to its raised suspension and a switchable 4WD system that flips to 2WD for normal road conditions. The chassis is a rib-bone frame monocoque that combines an energy-absorbing front and rear section, with a strong rigid central cell to provide protection. It features high-tensile steel reinforcing bars in doors and energy-absorbing material in the side pillars and roof rails, which provides a steel cage for the safety of the driver and passengers. The D:5 also comes with automatic stability control which helps the driver regain control if a loss of traction is detected. Its 2.4 litre petrol engine offers 27mpg and it has a four-star rating when it comes to emissions, which are 75% less than Japan’s 2005 emissions standards.
Applauded by Top Gear magazine as a “unique Japanese-Scottish fusion”, this converted Delica is a thrilling ride, offering sturdy, comfortable interiors that sleep four. With solar panels on the elevating roof, USB docks, two induction hobs, a lithium super-power battery and swivel front seats, this is a slick camper that uses space cleverly, with everything you need for a road trip with off-road ambitions. And with a 2.5 tonne towing capacity, you can bring along all the kit and toys you need for an outdoor wilderness adventure.
All our vans are covered by our no-quibble mechanical and conversions warranties.
