The great joy of campervanning is campervan cooking, being able to sit in the most amazing locations and cook-up a tasty hot meal with great company and a fantastic view, especially if you have a high-powered lithium leisure battery, like that supplied in our Hybrid Eco Pioneer II.

Cooking in a Campervan
The cooking facilities are provided by a super-efficient, super-fast induction hob that heats the pan not the hob. They are so efficient they can boil a pint of water in three minutes. The Alphard Pioneer II can come with two hobs, one of which uses our patented omni slide system that enables you to cook indoors or alfresco. The mains 256kwh battery also lets you use standard kitchen appliances like a kettle, slow cooker, or microwave. Some of our vans are alternatively equipped with gas hobs.
If you are in the middle of nowhere, then you will need to keep your food fresh. And our campervans have a built-in refrigerator with freezer compartment.
Refrigerator with freezer compartmentCampervanCo has its own patented campervan cooking technology called the ‘Omni-slide cooker’ which lets you cook indoors and outdoors for an alfresco barbecue feel and taste.
We’ve taken a look around for some of the best campervan recipes and ideas that we’d like to recommend from expert hob-byists!
Smoky Bean Brekkie
From BBC Good Food, This family-sized breakfast has something for everyone, with all the key ingredients of a cooked breakfast and more, including chorizo, chipolatas, eggs and mixed beans and it can be cooked in 10minutes on a single hob with tea and toast. If you’re hosting friends it provides campervan cooking for crowds!
This Gluten-Free, Vegetarian recipe is great for a late start and lazy brunch. It takes a bit longer to cook at 30mins, again just using a single hob, but is very nutritious with only a few key ingredients from your refrigerator.
